PIVOTWorks February 2026

Hello!

Pivot has had a busy February with Glass House and private retreats. One of my favorite things to do is check in with the different individuals who come in for an immersive experience after it ends. I consistently hear surprise over the depth that can be covered in a short amount of time. It reminds me of my own week at a Glass House Retreat a few years ago. I entered it questioning, “What can we really do in 5 days?” It turns out there is A LOT you can actually do in that amount of time. I’m grateful our coaches leave clients with ongoing support through the binders, virtual sessions, and Healthier Hour.

Speaking of Healthier Hour, here is a recap of what Lori Jean shared during this month’s meeting, in case you missed it:

A Guide to Rebuilding Self-Trust

Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I don’t trust my judgment anymore” without knowing when that shift first happened? Most of us don’t lose trust in ourselves through one big mistake; it fades quietly when we override our feelings, ignore our own needs, and act in ways that feel familiar but misaligned. When we refuse to feel something that matters, defend ourselves with excuses, or opt for fantasy, we train our nervous system to doubt its own inner signals rather than honor them.

The good news is this: self-trust can be rebuilt. And it’s not rebuilt through dramatic leaps and moments, but through small, honest corrections, one choice at a time.

Rebuilding trust with yourself means noticing when you override your instincts, naming the patterns that drive your choices, and giving your Healthy Adult a chance to lead again. This journey is steady, relational work with yourself, and it leads to a kind of internal safety that changes how you move in the world.

You don’t need to be perfect or even confident to begin rebuilding trust. You need clarity, presence, and practice. When you start listening to yourself with curiosity and compassion, the path forward begins to feel possible again.

A sign hanging above my office door - for my fellow Ted Lasso fans.

Rebuild Trust With Yourself This Week

  • Tell yourself the truth first.
Pause and ask: “What is actually happening right now, not what I fear or hope is happening?”
  • Notice old patterns in action.
Where did you ignore a boundary? Override a feeling? Rush a decision? These patterns reveal where self-trust eroded.
  • Make one aligned choice today.
Integrity is rebuilt through behavior. Choose something that reflects reality, not avoidance.
  • Pause before acting.
When something feels off, give yourself a moment. Let your Healthy Adult speak before your survival instinct jumps in.
  • Practice compassionate attention.
Pay attention to your body signals like fatigue, tension, and emotional discomfort, and honor them with questions, not judgments.

If I’ve learned anything about Healthy Adulting, it’s that you may not notice the shift immediately. And, one healthy decision can lead to another. The drama decreases. The confusion lessens. And slowly, you begin to feel steadier. As LJ said, rebuilding self-trust is not dramatic work; it’s daily work.

We’re here to walk beside you as you grow to trust yourself again, with care and clarity. If you need help rebuilding trust in yourself, let us help.

With warmth,

Kayla + The PIVOT Team
